These pieces were made by Bryan Crockett. He explains in his intro that his pieces are meant for us to question if technology can really be used to express how we feel. He asks a number of questions which question our dependence on technology and if we can truly use them to express ourselves. Art is meant to make us feel something. By using technology he tested our abilities to feel something, a specific emotion. As soon as you walk into the exhibit the noise of the instruments and speakers in the room itself engulfs you quickly. You can feel the bass of the drum and the high pitch of the guitar and keyboard. The pieces moved on their own and created the noise without the use of someone needing to make the noise. The high strung pitch of the guitar really caught my attention which is why it was my favorite piece. It scared me the first time it went off. It was steady and slow and noticed it would string the chords until the previous chord was completely silent. It was fascinating to watch how all the instruments would go off on their own and be steady at their own pace. It was great.
