This is Rachel Peng. It’s her first year here at CSULB. She is currently studying pre-nursing and hoping to become a nurse practitioner or a pediatric nurse. Although she is currently a student here her first choice was to go out of state to Seattle. Also, because the nursing program is so competitive here at CSULB, she plans to go elsewhere and be a part of their nursing program or change her major to child development. Since it was Thursday, I asked her if she had class Friday and she said no. She mentioned how great it is to not have class Friday. I can completely agree. I mentioned that sometimes it’s unavoidable though. Especially for my major, sometimes science lecture halls are only available M/W/F *tears*. I was curious of her ethnicity as well. She’s Chinese and Vietnamese. She also does speak both languages plus English which I found fascinating. I think it’s so cool when people can speak more than just two languages. I also noticed she wasn’t writing anything down while we were talking and I asked her about it too. She said she had really good memory. That’ll come in handy for her major lol.
